Our Commitment

Our commitment to the community

At Klense, we believe a business should contribute more than just a service. We work in communities every day and see first-hand the people, spaces and organisations that hold those communities together. The Klense Community Impact Programme is our way of giving back in a consistent, practical and meaningful way.

The programme focuses on three simple principles

Supporting local spaces

Supporting local people

Supporting local initiatives

Supporting Local Spaces

Monthly Community Projects

Each month, Klense selects a community space within a London borough to receive a complimentary cleaning service. These are spaces that serve the public and often do not have the funding for specialist or deep cleaning support.

Projects may include full carpet cleaning for mosques and prayer spaces, and floor scrubbing and maintenance cleans for community halls.

The aim is to remove cost pressure from organisations that are already doing important work for the community.

Supporting Local Spaces

Support for faith and community spaces

Faith spaces and community hubs play a key role in bringing people together. Through the programme, Klense offers complimentary carpet cleaning for mosques, churches and community centres, discounted maintenance cleaning throughout the year, additional support during Ramadan, community events or busy periods, cleaning assistance for madrassah areas, prayer halls and multi-use spaces, and donation of cleaning products or consumables where appropriate.

All work is delivered respectfully and in collaboration with site representatives to ensure the support is genuinely useful.

Supporting Local People & Initiatives

More ways we give back

Youth & local initiatives

Sponsorship of youth sports teams or local activity groups, support for youth-led events and fundraisers, assistance to schools or after-school programmes, and support for summer schemes or community days. These contributions are often small in scale but meaningful in impact.

Supporting our own staff and families

Community starts internally. Support for Klense staff and their families may include assistance during difficult personal circumstances, contributions to verified charitable causes raised internally, training, equipment or resources at no cost, and guidance for international staff.

Community partnerships

Klense works alongside charities, community groups and organisations already delivering positive change, donating cleaning time or expertise, assisting with refurbishment projects, providing discounted ongoing cleaning support, and donating products to shelters or community kitchens.

Supporting Local People

Home Support Projects

As part of the Community Impact Programme, Klense also delivers targeted home support projects for families who may be living in challenging conditions. Families are selected through a trusted community organisation, with a pre-audit of each property to assess safety and readiness, followed by a full deep clean of approved properties, mould cleaning and treatment where required, and carpet and upholstery cleaning.

To ensure meaningful and lasting outcomes, households are required to prepare the property in advance, including decluttering and vacating the home on the day of the clean. This structured approach allows work to be carried out safely and effectively while encouraging long-term change rather than a temporary reset.

Supporting Local Initiatives

Annual Signature Project

Each year, Klense delivers one major community project with long-term value, examples include a multi-site mosque carpet cleaning initiative during Ramadan, deep cleaning support for a local shelter or community centre, assistance with a school reset or refurbishment, or a large-scale community clean-up project. This annual project becomes a key focus of the programme.

Transparency

Transparency and community engagement

Where appropriate and with consent, Klense documents community projects through short video clips and photography focused solely on the work being carried out. This allows the community to follow the journey and understand the impact being delivered. A simple yearly summary is also produced to show the organisations and initiatives supported.

The Klense Community Impact Programme is not designed for recognition or marketing. It is a genuine effort to give back, support people and strengthen the communities we work within.
